Praying for Vocations

Accepting the Cross and Praying for Vocations

Just to be clear any Knight may volunteer to receive a Vocation Cross, new Knights are encourage to do so, this is an outward sign of your faith as a Knight, and a privilege and an honor. Please contact WGN Jeff White via email at if you would like to be put on the list to accept a Vocation Cross to help strengthen the church through the power of daily prayer through a month of prayer for Vocations.

If you have volunteered to be presented a Vocation Cross at the monthly Corporate Communion Mass, may God Bless you and your family, I am sure you and your family will also grow in your faith.  At the Corporate Communion Mass, after Communion you and your family will be called before the Father or the Deacon to be blessed and given a Vocation Cross. Bring your Vocation Cross home and place it in a prominent area as a reminder to say a Daily Prayer(s) for Vocations as a Knight and with your family, to pray for those that God has chosen... to open their hearts and hear His call.

Very Important: The Vocation Crosses are not to be kept, please turn them in at the very next Knights monthly meeting 3 to 4 weeks later in preparation for the following Corporate Communion Mass.

Vivat Jesus †

A Daily Prayer

Almighty God, Your Son, Jesus, told us to pray for vocations since the harvest is great and the laborers are few.

Help us to be active promoters of vocations to the Priesthood and religious life.

The ministry of identifying and nurturing vocations belongs
to each member of each family in our parish families.

May we all accept this mission from Jesus.
We pray through Christ, Our Lord.

K of C Prayer for Vocations

Heavenly Father, bless Your Church with an abundance of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters.

Give those You have called to the married state and those You have chosen to live
as single persons in the world the special graces that their lives require.

Form us all in the likeness of Your Son so that in Him, with Him and through Him
we may love You more deeply and serve You more faithfully, always and everywhere.
With Mary we ask this through Christ our Lord.
